Acorn develops leaders in major construction firm BAM PPP

Acorn has been appointed by leading construction firm BAM PPP to support its managing Board in developing top talent through a comprehensive executive development programme. The project is based on a 360° feedback process and competency framework which Acorn has developed in conjunction with BAM PPP. The programme will run over several months and mirrors the need for BAM PPP to be flexible and build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

BAM PPP has been tasked with developing and running several public-private partnership projects. The company has earned a reputation in this market for leading innovation in design, high quality construction and managing effective client relationships. As part of this work, BAM PPP has been appointed a leading partner it the Government’s Building Schools for the Future programme.

Steve Gee, senior consultant for Acorn Coaching said: “BAM PPP is faced with new levels of increasing complexity in the construction market. They are no longer ‘just’ contractors but leaders in a complex set of relationships involving a wide range of stakeholders. Their leadership team and staff need to be highly effective communicators both inside and outside the organisation.

Initial feedback on Acorn’s programme is highlighting the importance of senior team talent development in such a new and demanding market and is resulting in a very positive effect on the team.

BAM PPP is part of the pan European HBG Construction Group, a major civil and building engineering contractor.
