Record Breaker

a record breaking Land's End to John O'groats endurance event

Keith Longney, a director of Acorn, has completed a record breaking Land's End to John O'groats endurance event beating the current record for a similar attempt by four days.

Keith, who was a silver medalist at this year's world quadrathlon championships and is previous world champion, decided he would replicate this gruelling sporting dicipline on a massive scale.

The quadrathlon is a multi-dicipline event similar to the triathlon only that it includes kayaking. Keith and his team mate Peter Hart cycled from Land's End to John O'groats, Kayaking the longest lake, swimming the last mile of each and running over the highest mountains in Wales, England and Scotland.

Keith and Pete completed this 1100 mile journey in six days, four days faster than the most recent attempt, which did not include the swimming.

Keith now wants to try and break his own record by completing the journey in five days.
