EC Harris Appoint A2B

A2B has been awarded a two year graduate programme with leading international consultancy firm EC Harris
A2B, the graduate development arm of Acorn Coaching, has been awarded a two year graduate programme with leading international consultancy firm EC Harris. The organisation focuses on providing a wide spectrum of professional skills for the construction industries. This includes quantity surveying, project management, building surveying, facilities management, software development and at least 15 other engineering and design related professions.
The company employs over 3000 people worldwide and has an annual turnover in excess of £200 million. The company as a large graduate programme taking on average 100 new graduates each year across all disciplines of the organisation. This means the graduate development programme has to be able to accommodate the needs of quantity surveyors, architects and project managers alike, many of whom will be still be studying to gain their ‘chartered’ professional qualifications.
Acorn’s Business Development Manager, David Richie commented: “A2B has extensive experience in the construction industry sector with clients such as Skanska, Bovis and Carillion. This industry knowledge means that we can get up to speed with the new graduate programme very quickly as we already understand the key issues.
Because of the ‘flater’ hierarchical structure often found in professional firms, a large part of the A2B programmes will focus on developing leadership by influence as opposed to leadership by authority. Our experience of working with leading management consultancy and legal firms makes us ideally placed to make a significant impact on the EC Harris graduate programme very quickly.”
