Manufacturing in the pharmaceutical industry is not only highly competitive and volatile, it’s also at the mercy of market forces. This means the ability to adapt and change is critical to long term survival. The site is one of this company's 11 manufacturing facilities in the UK and in recent years has found it necessary to scale its operation up and down due to fluctuating demand.
Acorn was invited to create a management development programme that would help senior managers deal with challenges of rapid change.
THE ACORN APPROACH
We developed a programme designed to help senior managers deal with the challenges of rapid change yet continue to motivate a diverse workforce made up from highly qualified scientific experts through to local staff who work on the factory floor.
Our programme consisted of a mix of:
- Leadership development focused on change management
- 1 to 1 coaching with senior managers focussing on their individual needs
